Aqara u200 with homepod mini conneciton problems

I use the Aqara U200 door lock with the HomePod Mini. The door lock is in my garden, and the HomePod Mini is positioned as close as possible. There’s only one wall between them and they’re only 5-6 meters apart. However, in the Home app, the U200 constantly shows as unresponsive.

@emreyilmaz200 It sounds frustrating when your Aqara U200 door lock shows as unresponsive in the Home app, especially when it seems like it should be within range of your HomePod Mini. There are a few potential steps you can take to address this:

  1. Check Thread Border Router Compatibility: Ensure that your HomePod Mini is functioning as a Thread Border Router, which is needed for proper connection with the U200 door lock.

  2. Firmware and App Updates: Make sure that both the U200 door lock firmware and the Apple Home app are updated to their latest versions. Sometimes, updates can resolve connectivity issues.

  3. Create a New Home: If you’re encountering persistent errors, consider creating a new home in the Apple Home app and resetting your HomePod Mini to see if that resolves the issue.

  4. Network and Distance Considerations: Even though there’s only one wall and a short distance between the devices, interference might still occur. Ensure that the HomePod Mini is as close as possible and try repositioning it to see if that helps.

If none of these suggestions solve the problem, it might be helpful to reset both the door lock and the HomePod Mini and set them up again. Your persistence will hopefully be rewarded with a more stable connection! Don’t hesitate to share further updates or ask for more help from the community.

@emreyilmaz200 It sounds like you’re having some trouble with your [Aqara U200 door lock](https://forum.aqara.com/s?product=aqara-smart-lock-[u200](https://forum.aqara.com/s?product=aqara-smart-lock-u200)) staying responsive with the HomePod Mini—let’s try to troubleshoot this.

First, since the U200 is a Thread version door lock, a compatible Thread border router (like the HomePod Mini) is required for connection. Here are some steps to try:

  • Update firmware and software: Make sure the U200’s firmware is up to date via the Aqara Home app. Also, update your Apple Home hub (HomePod Mini), Apple Home app, and ensure your iOS version is above 17.5. Restart the HomePod Mini after updating .
  • Check home configuration: If the issue persists, try resetting the HomePod Mini and integrating it with a new home in the Apple Home app to test functionality. Sometimes the original home configuration can cause problems .

If these steps don’t resolve the unresponsiveness, it might help to reach out to customer service for further assistance. Have you tried any of these steps already? Feel free to share your experience—community input can often help too!

@emreyilmaz200 I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your U200 door lock showing as unresponsive in the Home app. Let’s try some steps that might help.

First, ensure the U200’s firmware is up to date (you can check this in the Aqara Home app) and that your HomePod Mini, Apple Home app, and iOS version are all updated to the latest versions—iOS should be above 17.5 . Restarting your HomePod Mini might also help refresh the connection.

Since the U200 is a Thread device, the HomePod Mini acts as a Thread border router. If the issue persists, try creating a new home in the Apple Home app and resetting the HomePod Mini to integrate it with this new home to test functionality—sometimes the original home configuration can cause connectivity issues .

If these steps don’t resolve the problem, it might be helpful to check if there are any other non-Thread or non-Matter Home hubs on your network; disconnecting them temporarily could improve stability .

Hope this helps! If you’re still having issues, feel free to share more details, and the community might have additional tips. For further assistance, you can also contact customer service.
