My Aqara valve is connected to my water main and works fine when it is online. But it consistently goes offline, even though it has a strong signal, as shown here. Why?

Hello, maybe your T1 works through a repeater (socket, lamp, etc. device with zero) which is periodically de-energized. In this case, your device will “fall off” at the moment the repeater is de-energized.

That’s a good thought, but I don’t have that sort of setup. And the valve is close to my M3 hub.

I’ve always thought it was the internal Radios of the Valve T1. Mine does the same thing, it’s five feet away from the M3 which is hardwired and no other device struggles like the T1 does. It’s not battery related either.
Occasionally I will rotate the batteries or pull them out for a minute and it seems to bring it back but it does not fix the issue.
I think it’s poor design and weak internal radios unless someone can come up with something better to explain it.
It’s not my network, it’s not the batteries and it’s not the Aqara app, Home App or Home Assistant app or any other app.

Yes! Thank you. My M3 is connected POE and nearby. I would like more dependable operation given its importance.

I don’t have any switches. Just Aqara cameras, thermostat, contact sensors, motion sensors, door lock, and doorbell (hardwired).

Which hub is the T1 connected to? Which Aqara camera do you have?

It’s connected to my M3 hub as shown in the picture in the original post. I have reset the T1 now and it is working correctly but I shouldn’t need to keep resetting it.

Sorry, I didn’t read your post carefully.
If I were you, I’d try a quick experiment: temporarily move T1 to another hub (G350 or G410), assuming the distance allows it.

Well, that didn’t take long. Lost my T1 Valve within an hour. This better work: I placed an Aqara M200 hub 3 feet from the valve! If I lose the valve again, I’m getting a Bulldog!

By the way, are the batteries in the T1 good? Have you tested them under load?
I ask because there is a possibility of voltage drop during operation, and consequently a loss of connection.

Yes, I just installed it a few days ago. Batteries are full.

I think you are correct about the radios. Since placing an M200 hub 3 feet from the T1 valve, the T1 has not gone offline. The T1 should be fine with my M3 hub which is about 12 feet away with one wall (drywall) between.
