I am trying to configure network configuration, but it errs 10004 when I try. I’ve never been able to get it to connect.
Hello, and welcome to the forum!
If you are encountering Error Code 10004, it specifically refers to a failure in sending network access information to the device. According to the Aqara SDK Documentation, this error means:
Please check whether the device is waiting for network access (code: 10004) Failed to send network access information
Essentially, the app is unable to hand over your Wi-Fi credentials to the doorbell.
Are you trying to change the network settings via the existing device menu, or are you adding the camera as a new device after a factory reset? It is often more reliable to perform a network reset by holding the reset button on the Chime for 10 seconds and then adding it from scratch. If the network reset does not work, you can try performing a factory reset instead. Restore the factory settings by pressing the button 10 times quickly.
First, though, double-check that you have entered your Wi-Fi password correctly. Even a small typo can trigger this communication failure.
The G4 only supports 2.4 GHz networks. If your router uses the same name for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, try disabling the 5 GHz band temporarily during the setup process.
On your smartphone, go to Settings → Aqara Home App and ensure that “Local Network” (on iOS) or “Location Services” (on Android) is toggled ON. Without this, the app cannot “see” the doorbell to send the info.
I hope this helps! Let us know if the reset or the local network permission solved it for you.
I had to go into wifi settings while in the aqara app and it was trying to connect to the internet through the doorbell cam lmao. I connected without internet and it worked. The doorbell cam is now connected
