Heya,
Using the device in Home Assistant, through Zigbee2mqtt.
I use a few of these devices as temperature sensors for a software defined thermostat on home assistant and I’m using the External Temperature on the W100 to show the current setpoint. I send the external sensor order followed by the external temperature setting, which works fine, but after a while the device stops reacting. The only way to get functionality back is by resetting and repairing it with the network.
The device keeps reporting data (temperature and humidity, button presses, etc) but stops responding to commands. The only way to get functionality back is by resetting and repairing it with the network.
Anyone else suffering from something similar?

@jrodrigo_aferreira Hello!
It sounds like you’re experiencing a frustrating issue with your Aqara W100 climate sensors. It’s great that they continue to report data, but it’s unfortunate they stop responding to commands over time.
Here are a few suggestions that might help:
-
Firmware Update: Ensure that your devices have the latest firmware. Sometimes, these issues are resolved with updates from the manufacturer.
-
Network Stability: Check the stability and strength of your Zigbee network. If there are any weak spots or interference, it might cause communication issues.
-
Device Limitations: Consider the number of devices connected to your Zigbee network. Exceeding the recommended number of devices can sometimes cause issues.
-
Log Analysis: Check the logs in both Home Assistant and Zigbee2mqtt to see if there are any error messages or patterns that might give clues to the problem.
-
Community Forums: Since this is a community-driven solution, you might find others who have faced similar issues in forums or social media groups. They might have discovered workarounds or solutions.
Hopefully, one of these suggestions helps resolve your issue. Let us know how it goes, and feel free to share any other insights you might find!
