Hey everyone, I’ve been having a bit of trouble with my Aqara W100 devices lately, and I wanted to share my experiences and see if anyone else is dealing with the same issue.
I have seven W100 units set up around my home, and while they generally work quite well, every few days, one or more of them seems to lose its connection to the network. The devices just disappear from my Home Assistant setup, and I can’t control them through my app. What’s been happening is that I have to manually remove the battery, press a few buttons to reset them, and then put the battery back in. Once I do that, they come back online immediately, which is a bit of a hassle but at least it works temporarily.
I’ve tried a few things to troubleshoot this issue. First, I checked my network setup to make sure there were no issues with my router or Wi-Fi signal strength. Everything seems to be fine there. I also updated the firmware on all my W100 devices to the latest version, but the problem persists. I’ve reached out to Aqara support, but so far, I haven’t gotten a definitive answer.
I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this and if there are any workarounds or solutions that I might be missing. Maybe there’s a setting I need to adjust or a specific network configuration that could help stabilize the connection. I’d also love to hear if others have had success with similar devices and how they’ve managed to keep them running smoothly.
In the meantime, I’ll keep experimenting with different settings and see if I can find a more permanent fix. If anyone has any tips or advice, I’d be really grateful to hear them! Thanks for your help, and happy automating! ![]()
