Hello Aqara fans!
I would like some help.
I have a gas boiler (Westen Star Condens) controlled by a thermostat (Auraton 2030). I would like to replace this thermostat with an Aqara W500 thermostat. Is this possible, has anyone done a similar development?
Thank you for your comments!

@kocsmarikj Hey Jani! Thanks for reaching out. The Aqara Home app currently supports adding Aqara or third-party Matter devices. The supported device types include thermostats .
However, I’m not sure if directly replacing your existing Auraton 2030 thermostat with an Aqara W500 thermostat for your Westen Star Condens gas boiler will work seamlessly. There isn’t specific information in our reference knowledge about this exact replacement scenario.
It might be a bit of a trial-and-error process. You can try opening the Aqara Home app, going to the “Home” page, clicking the “+” icon in the top right corner, choosing “Add Device,” and selecting “Matter Device” from the quick access options. Then follow the on-screen instructions to see if you can add the Aqara W500. But be aware that there could be compatibility issues due to differences in the boiler’s requirements and how the new thermostat functions.
I encourage other community members to chime in if they’ve had any similar experiences or have more insights on this. If you have any suggestions or improvements, you can submit manual customer service feedback. Let’s see if we can figure this out together!
No, it cannot be replaced. The W500 does not have dry contacts.
Hello, I confirm that the W500 does not have dry contacts, unless you take an additional intermediate relay for 220 volts.
