Aqara W500 thread signal level

Hello

Hello

I am new to home automation. I am using W500 with matter over thread using a 3rd party open thread coordinator. In Zigbee you can see strength of signal with linkquality parameter. Is there a similar clusterid for W500?

Regards

Gokalp

@gokalpakgul Hello Gokalp,

Welcome to the world of home automation! It’s great to hear that you’re exploring the Aqara Floor Heating Thermostat W500 with Matter over Thread. When it comes to checking signal strength, Zigbee indeed uses the linkquality parameter. However, for Thread networks, the approach can differ slightly as Thread doesn’t use the same kind of parameters directly exposed like Zigbee.

Unfortunately, from the information available, there isn’t a direct equivalent like a clusterid specifically mentioned for Thread in the context of Aqara’s devices. Thread networks usually handle signal quality through different metrics such as RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) or LQI (Link Quality Indicator), but these might not be directly accessible or exposed in the same way through all platforms or devices.

I suggest checking with your third-party open thread coordinator’s documentation or community for any tools or methods they recommend for monitoring signal quality in Thread networks. Additionally, feel free to share any insights or experiences you gain—our community thrives on shared knowledge!

If you have more questions or need further assistance, don’t hesitate to ask. Happy automating!

Warm regards,

Hello @gokalpakgul
If the device is connected via matter (thread) in Aqara home, then the signal strength cannot be viewed in the application.
