Are the Aqara servers in Europe working again?

Many months ago there was an issue with the Aqara servers in Europe, resulting in the app not working when I’m not at home (only local control worked ok).
I was forced to use the Apple home app. Unfortunately it lacks many useful features and the automations are very simple.
Can I safely return back to the Aqara app? Is there any workaround that I haven’t figured out?

The server issue was fixed within a day of being discovered, and there are currently no server issues in Europe.
