I’ve been using timers for my outdoor lights and curtain lights for the past year, but this year I decided to try something new for the 4th of July—automated rules! At first, I wasn’t sure how it would work, but I have to say, it’s officially my new favorite feature!
I set up the rules thinking it would be a hassle to turn off the scheduling manually later, but then I remembered I could set an expiration with auto-run. So, the system already knew to stop running those displays today. It was such a relief not to have to log in and turn them off manually! 
I’m really impressed with how smooth this transition was and how much time it saved me. If you haven’t tried using automated rules for your holiday lighting, I highly recommend giving it a shot! It’s been a game-changer for me this year. Thanks to the developers for creating such a user-friendly and efficient system!
