With winter approaching, I’ve been thinking about how to optimize our central heating system. My wife has been pestering me for a Nest or similar device, and I’d like to integrate it into Home Assistant if possible. If not, I’m open to other options but love the idea of using the mobile native app for control.
My ideal setup would involve using external temperature sensors on each radiator, the ability to adjust temperatures remotely, and scheduling controls per room. I have Wi-Fi and Amazon Alexa, so I may need to go down a hub route depending on suggestions.
I’ve been researching compatible devices and would love to hear from anyone who has successfully integrated a similar system. What devices have worked well for you? Any gotchas or tips for a smooth setup? Thanks in advance for your insights!
