It’s been a journey, but I’m thrilled with the outcome!I’ve always wanted my garage door to open automatically when I approach my home. After some research, I decided to use my iPhone’s presence detection feature to trigger the automation. The idea was simple: when my phone detects I’m near, the garage door should open, and after a set time, it should close automatically.I set up the automation using SmartThings, linking my garage door opener to my iPhone’s location services. Initially, everything worked smoothly—the door opened as soon as I got close. But there was one issue: the door wouldn’t close after the preset 4-minute timer.
