I’ve recently embarked on a journey to automate my home lighting using smart bulbs and schedules, and I wanted to share my experience and some tips for anyone looking to do the same.

For anyone looking to integrate multiple brands or devices, I recommend using a reliable hub like Homey or Hubitat. These platforms offer excellent compatibility and allow for more complex automations. I’ve also found the community forums invaluable for tips and troubleshooting.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to experiment! Start with simple automations and gradually add more complex ones as you become comfortable. The satisfaction of seeing your home come to life with smart lighting is truly rewarding.
