Using IFTTT and SmartThings, I set up a rule where if motion is detected after 10 PM, the siren sounds, and I receive an alert on my phone. This way, I’m notified without being woken up by the siren itself.
Challenges and Solutions:
Initially, I faced some issues with the siren not activating consistently. After some troubleshooting, I realized it was a matter of adjusting the sensitivity settings on the motion sensors. Now, the system works like a charm!
