I’ve been exploring how to integrate my smart home devices with my phone system, and I’ve got some exciting updates to share! 
One of my main goals has been to automatically mute my TV when a phone call comes in. I’ve been using a combination of Google Home and SmartThings to detect incoming calls and trigger actions like muting the TV or turning on lights. It’s been a fun project, and I’ve managed to get it working pretty reliably!
However, I’ve encountered a few hiccups along the way. For instance, I tried setting up a routine where the caller ID would display on my smart display, but it wasn’t always consistent. I’ve read that some devices don’t support caller ID integration directly, so I’m still experimenting with different setups.
Another thing I’ve been curious about is integrating my Tado thermostat with Google Home. I know Tado doesn’t officially support Google Home hubs, but I’ve heard some users have managed to connect them through third-party apps. I’d love to hear if anyone has success stories or tips on making this work seamlessly!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been playing around with connecting multiple devices to my Arlo cameras. It’s amazing how a simple motion detection can trigger so many actions, from turning on lights to sending notifications. I’ve even set up a routine where my coffee maker starts brewing when I walk into the kitchen in the morning—pure bliss!
