Automations based on “away alarm” unreliable

I have a few automations set based on “away mode arm” and “away mode disarm”. Where the arming and disarming works stabile via geofencing, the automations on away mode are highly unreliable. I have got them to work, but then after a few weeks they fail again completely. Is this a known topic and are actions undertaken?
