I recently acquired a Sonoff Zigbee bridge and Tasmotized it to run ZHA, but I’m facing a significant issue with battery life on my Tradfri devices. The batteries in my Tradfri remotes and switches are draining incredibly fast—sometimes within 24 hours. This is quite concerning as it’s rendering these devices almost unusable.
Interestingly, when I switch these devices back to the Tradfri bridge, the battery life improves dramatically, lasting several days without issues. This inconsistency suggests that the problem might be specific to the ZHA setup on the Sonoff bridge.
I’ve tried adjusting the polling settings on the devices, but this hasn’t made a noticeable difference. I’m also curious if others have encountered similar issues or if there are known workarounds or optimizations for ZHA configurations to improve battery life.
Has anyone successfully resolved this issue? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m eager to find a solution to make the ZHA setup as reliable as the Tradfri bridge while still benefiting from the enhanced functionality ZHA offers.
