I’ve been a long-time fan of Wyze cameras, having used them for years around my home. Their reliability and affordability truly set them apart from competitors like Google Nest. Recently, I recommended a V3 camera to a friend for his deer feeder setup, which is about 1000 feet away from his house. While the camera works perfectly with a Wi-Fi repeater, the battery life has been a bit of a challenge. I’ve been using 5000mAh phone rechargers, but they just don’t last long enough at that distance. The battery cam with a base station isn’t feasible, and the solar panel option doesn’t include a battery either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
To Wyze, I’d love to see an external battery kit that could work with all non-battery cameras. It would be a fantastic addition to the lineup and would help users like me who need to monitor areas far from the main house.
In the meantime, I’d love to hear from anyone who’s found a reliable workaround or solution for extending battery life in these situations. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most of our Wyze setups! ![]()
