Hi everyone, I wanted to share a quick story about my recent experience with my HM-Sec-RHS door sensor. After noticing the battery was low, I decided to replace them. I thought it was a simple task, but little did I know what would happen next.
After installing the new batteries, I noticed the sensor started blinking yellow every time I opened or closed the door. It was frustrating because it wouldn’t provide the status updates I relied on. I tried googling the issue and found some similar experiences, but nothing concrete.
I decided to reset the sensor and relearn it through my Homematic system. Surprisingly, after a few attempts, it started working perfectly again! I’m not entirely sure what caused the issue, but it seems like a common hiccup after battery changes.
I thought I’d share this in case anyone else runs into the same problem. It’s a good reminder to always reset devices after changing batteries. Happy smart home tinkering!
