Hey everyone,
I’ve been experimenting with my Graber/Somfy/Springs Z-Wave Pleated Shades and noticed something interesting. While the shades themselves work perfectly with the C-7 hub and the Generic Z-Wave Shade driver, I’ve been having trouble getting the battery status to show up on my dashboard. It’s a bit frustrating because the device does report battery levels periodically, as I can see in the Events tab. However, without a clear display on the dashboard, it’s hard to keep track of the battery life at a glance.
I’ve tried a few things to resolve this. For starters, I noticed that if I manually refresh the device page, the battery value does appear temporarily. But it doesn’t stick around on the dashboard. I’m wondering if this is a limitation of the current driver or if there’s something I can adjust in the settings to make the battery status more persistent.
I’ve also been curious about whether this issue is specific to my setup or if others are experiencing similar problems. It would be great if the driver could be updated in the future to include automatic battery status updates on the dashboard. In the meantime, I’ve been keeping an eye on the device page to monitor the battery levels manually.
If anyone has encountered this issue before or has any tips on how to get the battery status to display consistently, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Maybe there’s a workaround or a different driver that handles battery reporting more effectively.
Thanks for your help, and happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
