Blink XT Cam Scheduling Notifications: A Mystery to Solve

I’ve been using Blink cameras for a while now, and I must say, they’ve been a great addition to my smart home setup. Recently, I upgraded my Blink outdoor XT cams to the Sync module 2, and everything seemed to be running smoothly—until I noticed something odd with the push notifications.

Every time my motion scheduling turns on or off, I receive a notification stating that the operation failed. However, the reality is that all my cameras are enabling or disabling perfectly on time. This inconsistency is a bit puzzling. My other Blink mini cam system works fine, reporting successful arm/disarm functions without any issues.

I’ve tried to troubleshoot this by checking the app settings, ensuring all firmware updates are installed, and even resetting the cameras. Despite all these efforts, the problem persists. It’s a bit frustrating because the notifications are unnecessary and could potentially cause confusion in the future.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with their Blink XT cams? I’d love to hear if others have encountered similar problems and if there’s a solution or workaround that I might have missed. Let’s see if we can crack this mystery together!

  • Device Setup: Blink XT Cams with Sync Module 2
  • Firmware: Up to date
  • App Version: Latest
  • Issue: False failure notifications despite successful scheduling
