Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me figure out why my Home Assistant setup isn’t detecting my Bluetooth adapter when using the Shelly integration. I’ve been trying to set this up for a while now, but I keep running into the same issue.
I’m running Home Assistant on a Synology NAS as a VM, which means I don’t have built-in Bluetooth hardware. Instead, I’m using a Shelly Plus device to handle Bluetooth functionality. I followed the setup guide and configured the Shelly Plus with the necessary settings, but when I try to enable the Bluetooth adapter in Home Assistant, it just says ‘No unconfigured Bluetooth adapters found.’
I checked the logs, and it seems like the Shelly integration is scanning for devices, but for some reason, Home Assistant isn’t recognizing the Bluetooth adapter. I’ve tried restarting the Shelly device and the Home Assistant VM, but that didn’t help. I’m also not seeing any errors in the logs that would give me more clues.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the Shelly integration, my configuration, or something else entirely. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I’m really looking forward to getting this working so I can start adding some Bluetooth-enabled devices to my setup.
