I use Blutac to make sure my presence sensors stay in place at the top of our stairs on a flat section of banisters.

@jeff_j_smith Nice tip — Blutac can be a super practical way to test placement and keep a presence sensor from drifting, especially on awkward spots like banisters.
If anyone’s doing something similar with the FP-series, it’s worth remembering that where you mount it will change how it behaves: ceiling mounting usually gives a smaller range and is better for more stationary targets, while side/corner mounting typically gives a wider range and works better for movement/sitting scenarios.
Curious: which presence sensor model are you using there (FP1/FP1E/FP2), and are you aiming to detect stair traffic only, or also “lingering” at the landing?
