I wanted to share a quick tip that might help others who are using the Sonoff Dongle P as a Wi-Fi repeater in their Homey setup. I’ve been using these devices to extend my network coverage around the house and garden, and I thought I’d figure out a way to get a bit more juice out of them without risking damage or voiding the warranty. 
So, after a bit of research and experimentation, I found that the Sonoff Dongle P can handle a slight increase in power output to 20dBm while still functioning reliably within the Homey network. Here’s how I did it:

Physical Placement: If adjusting the settings doesn’t provide enough boost, consider the physical placement of the Sonoff Dongle P. Position it in an area with minimal obstructions and away from other electronic devices that might cause interference. I’ve found that placing it near a window or elevated on a shelf helps with coverage.

External Antenna (Optional): For an extra punch, you can attach an external Wi-Fi antenna to the Sonoff Dongle P. This is a bit more advanced and requires careful handling, but it can significantly improve both the signal strength and range.

Monitoring Performance: After making these adjustments, keep an eye on the performance of your network. The Homey app should provide insights into signal strength and any potential issues. If you notice instability, it might be worth dialing back the settings a bit.
