Hi everyone,
I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation and wanted to share my recent experience with setting up Vera devices. I recently got a Vera3 and decided to use it as my main hub, while I have an older Vera2 in another part of my house that doesn’t have Z-Wave coverage. I’ve successfully bridged them, and now I can control my Vera2 devices from my Vera3. It’s pretty cool to see everything integrated!
However, I have a question about the Minimotes and Keyfobs I’ve paired with my Vera3. I understand that bridging the Vera devices doesn’t merge their Z-Wave networks, so I’m wondering if my Minimotes and Keyfobs need to be within range of my Vera3 to trigger scenes. I was hoping that by bridging the Vera hubs, I could expand the areas where my Minimotes and Keyfobs work.
Does anyone have experience with this setup? I’d love to hear if others have managed to get their Minimotes and Keyfobs working across bridged Vera hubs. Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards,
