Broadlink S1C Sensors Integration Success Story

Hey everyone! :tada: I wanted to share my recent success with integrating the Broadlink S1C sensors into Home Assistant. It’s been a bit of a journey, but I’m thrilled to have it working now!

I stumbled upon the Broadlink S1C kit and decided to give it a try. The sensors are pretty sleek, and I was excited to see how they’d work with HA. After some research, I found a helpful GitHub thread that pointed me in the right direction. The process wasn’t entirely smooth, but with some trial and error, I managed to get everything up and running!

Here’s a quick rundown of what I did:

  1. Setup: I created a new directory on my Raspberry Pi and downloaded the necessary Python script from the GitHub repo.
  2. Configuration: I set up MQTT to handle the sensor data and configured the sensors in my sensors.yaml file.
  3. Automation: I used a Python script to continuously monitor the sensor statuses and publish updates via MQTT.

The best part? Everything started working perfectly after a few tweaks! The door and motion sensors now show up in HA, and I can monitor them in real-time. It’s been a great addition to my setup!

If anyone else is looking to integrate their Broadlink S1C sensors, I’d highly recommend giving this method a try. It’s a bit of a hack, but it works like a charm! :rocket:

I’m curious if others have had success with Broadlink devices or if there are better ways to integrate them. Drop a comment if you’ve got tips or questions—I’d love to hear from you!
