Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent project with the AWTRIX system. I’ve been working on building a custom LED display using an 8x32 LED module, and it’s been quite the journey! I decided to house it in a beautiful oak frame, which adds a nice touch of craftsmanship to the project. I’m using an ESP32 as the brain behind it, and everything seems to be working smoothly except for one pesky issue with the menu navigation.
The problem I’m facing is with the middle button on my control panel. I’ve read in the documentation that this button should act as an opener (NC type), but I’m using some fancy tactile switches that don’t fit this requirement. Unfortunately, NC switches are hard to come by, and I don’t want to compromise the aesthetics of my build. Does anyone have a workaround or a creative solution to this? I’m really stuck here and would appreciate any advice!
On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with different scenes and animations on the display, and it’s been a blast seeing how responsive the AWTRIX system is. The integration with my smart home setup has been seamless, and I’m excited to continue refining this project. If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing the AWTRIX setup, I’d love to hear them!
Thanks in advance for all your help and support. Happy tinkering! ![]()
