Hey everyone, I’m excited to share my recent experience with integrating smart lighting into my kitchen. I’ve been using traditional G8 bulbs under my cabinets for years, but it’s time for an upgrade! I’ve heard amazing things about Govee’s smart LED lights, and I’m planning to switch over to them.
I’ve got a SmartThings hub and Google Home setup, so compatibility is key for me. I’ve been doing some research, and I’m leaning towards Govee’s smart under-cabinet LED lights. They seem to offer great color options and brightness settings, which is exactly what I need for my kitchen. Plus, the ability to control them through Google Home would be a huge plus!
I’ve also been exploring some automation ideas. For example, I’d love to have a single tap to change the color from whatever it is to a cool white base color. It would be perfect for when I’m cooking and need a brighter light, or when I’m entertaining and want a softer ambiance.
Has anyone else had experience with Govee products? I’d love to hear about your setups and any tips you might have. Also, if you’ve used Govee with Google Home, I’d be grateful for any insights or potential pitfalls to watch out for.
I’m really looking forward to transforming my kitchen with these smart lights and making my cooking and entertaining experiences even better! Thanks in advance for your advice and recommendations. ![]()
