Hello everyone, I’m currently working on integrating my BYD HVS Plus battery with a Fronius GEN24 WR inverter into Home Assistant. I’m really excited about this setup, but I’m hitting a bit of a snag with monitoring the cumulative energy stored in the battery over time. I’ve set up an integral counter in HA using the charging power, but I’m missing the historical data from when the system was first installed. I’m hoping there’s a way to pull this information directly from the battery or the inverter itself.
I’ve tried looking into the Sunspec and Fronius integrations within HA, but so far, I haven’t found the right entities that contain this data. I’m wondering if anyone else has successfully tracked cumulative energy storage in their BYD battery and if they could share their setup or any tips they might have. Any guidance would be really appreciated!
