Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with the Cam Pan v3 installation. I’ve been really excited about upgrading my outdoor security setup, but I ran into a bit of a snag when trying to install the new Cam Pan v3 on my eve. It turns out, the included mounting bracket isn’t designed for an inverted, overhead installation, which is exactly what I needed for my setup. 
At first, I was a bit disappointed because I had already purchased several units to replace my existing eve cameras. But then I remembered the incredible community here and figured I wasn’t alone in this situation. I started thinking about alternative mounting solutions and came across some options that might work.
One idea is to use a fixed 1/4"-20 male stud/screw mount, which would provide a stable base for the camera. Another option is an articulating mount, which would allow for more flexibility in adjusting the camera angle. I’ve included some examples below, but I’m curious if anyone has tried something similar or has other recommendations.
I’d love to hear if anyone has successfully mounted their Cam Pan v3 in an overhead or eve installation. Maybe there’s a clever workaround or a mounting accessory I haven’t discovered yet. Let’s brainstorm together!
