Camera E1 goes offline several times an hour after last update

I have three of these cameras and they have been very reliable for a couple of years however, after the last firmware update, one of the cameras goes off-line several times in an hour I powered the camera down restarted it in the app and nothing seems to keep the camera online for any extended period of time. I would prefer not to reset it to factory settings, but it was working fine before the last firmware update. Any thoughts?

@13111 I’m sorry to hear about the offline issue with your Camera E1 after the firmware update—it’s definitely frustrating when a reliable device starts acting up! Since the problem started after the update, let’s try some targeted troubleshooting steps first:

  1. Check the firmware update status: Sometimes an update might not fully complete, even if it seems successful. Try restarting the camera (unplug it for 10 seconds, then plug back in) and check if the firmware version is indeed the latest in the Aqara Home app.
  2. Network stability: Firmware updates can sometimes affect network connectivity. Ensure your router is stable—try rebooting it (unplug for 30 seconds, then plug back in) and check if other devices on the same network are working properly.
  3. Wi-Fi signal strength: Make sure the camera is within good Wi-Fi range. If it’s too far from the router, moving it closer might help reduce disconnections.
  4. Power supply: Double-check the power cable and adapter—loose connections or a faulty adapter could cause intermittent offline issues.

Since you’d prefer not to factory reset, let’s start with these steps. If the problem persists, could you share if the camera’s indicator light shows any specific status (like blue flashing slowly or red flashing) when it goes offline? That might help narrow it down further

Hello, welcome to the forum. First of all, check the camera’s power supply. Perhaps the power supply is producing current at the limit of E1 usage.
