Camera G100 Sleeping mode

I constantly get notifications that G100 is sleepong when security is activated.

I tried different condigurarions and power recycle but nothing seems to help.

Camera works fine in Homekit.

Any advice on how to make sure the camera do not go to sleep mode?

@petri_hiltunen Thanks for sharing your situation and the troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried! It sounds frustrating to have your Camera G100 entering sleep mode whenever security is activated, especially when it works as expected in HomeKit.

While there isn’t a direct reference about disabling sleep mode specifically for the G100 in the current documentation, here are some suggestions based on similar Aqara camera behaviors:

  • Double-check the Aqara Home app settings for the G100 to see if there are any scheduled or automated sleep modes enabled. Disabling any such automations may help prevent the camera from going to sleep when security is armed. This has been a common solution for other Aqara cameras experiencing unexpected sleep behavior.
  • Verify both the HomeKit and Aqara Home app settings. Sometimes, HomeKit’s recording or streaming settings can override Aqara configurations and cause the camera to enter sleep or inactive modes unexpectedly. Try toggling the camera’s streaming option off and then back on in the HomeKit camera settings, and look for a successful setup prompt afterward—this step helps refresh the connection and recording status for several Aqara models.
  • Make sure your camera firmware is fully up to date via the Aqara Home app, as firmware updates sometimes resolve sleep mode and notification bugs.
  • If you continue to get the notifications and no settings seem to resolve it, this could be a device- or firmware-specific issue not covered in the current support material. In that case, please contact Customer Service Team by Aqara Home App (Profile>Help&Feedback>Customer Service) or scanning the QR code:

If anyone else in the community has tackled this on the G100, feel free to share your solution! Let’s work together to get this sorted.

Try with a power adapter 5V 2A and make sure sleep mode in camera settings is not actually active.
