I’ve just installed the Doorbell Camera Hub and it seems to work fine. I was not aware that the Chime gizmo needs to constantly powered; it doesn’t seem to have a battery inside.
Is that consistent with others’ experience, or have I missed something?

Nope that’s the way it works, mine is the same but with it being a usb-c I do have it connected to the USB port on my home router for power and it seems to do the job rather than having it plugged into an outlet
