Camera Motion Sensing Tips and Tricks

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with camera motion sensing and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. I’ve been dealing with a lot of false notifications from my cameras at night, mostly due to bugs flying around. I set the sensitivity to the lowest setting, but I was still getting notifications. It was pretty frustrating because I didn’t want to turn off motion sensing entirely, but it felt like the only option at the time.

After some research and experimentation, I found a few solutions that worked for me. First, I adjusted the camera placement to avoid areas where bugs are more likely to fly. This made a big difference! I also discovered that using motion-activated lights in combination with the cameras helped reduce false triggers. The lights scare away the bugs, and the cameras don’t pick up as much unnecessary movement.

Another tip I’d like to share is to regularly check the firmware updates for your cameras. Sometimes, software updates include improvements for motion detection algorithms. I also found that using a higher quality battery in the cameras helped with overall performance and reduced false alarms.

If you’re struggling with similar issues, I recommend trying these adjustments before resorting to turning off motion sensing. It might take a bit of trial and error, but finding the right balance can make a world of difference. Let me know if you have any other tips or solutions that worked for you!
