Hi is anyone having issues with their cameras where the quality automatically turns back to fluent.
There are a few instances now when I’ve changed the quality to the best option then a few days later I go back on and it says the quality is Fluent ?
Not sure if this is a bug or not
Do you operate the cameras only in the Aqara app or do you export them to another ecosystem like HomeKit, Google Home, etc.? As far as I know, the quality is automatically reduced to 1080p as soon as you integrate the camera into HomeKit. The full resolution of, for example, 2K is only achieved if you operate the device only in the Aqara app. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I do also have them in Apple home however I’ve had alot of Aqara cameras and they normally stay as what ever quality I set them as in the Aqara app but automatically change on Apple home.
It’s only started to happen over the last month or so
I think thats the case because of Homekit. If it s possible delete the cam from Homekit, start it new and check the video quality ONLY in the Aqara App.
Maybe @Raman.V can something say about it, if i am right.
For better help it would also good to know which camara models u have which we are speaking about it
It’s never happened before only in the last 2 months.
I have the G100, G3, G4, G5 pro and the G2h pro.
I’ve notice it while only using the Aqara app. Set it to 1520p leave the app and return a few hours later and it will be back on Fluent. I had to look up the word Fluent. I noticed it happening after the word Fluent was introduced. For what it’s worth that’s a terrible word to use.
Fluent" means being able to express oneself easily, smoothly, and clearly in a language or skill, often with a high level of proficiency. For example, a fluent speaker of a language can communicate naturally and accurately, while someone fluent in a skill, like coding, performs it with ease and expertise.
At least it’s not just me with the same issue
Hello @johnsond28
Did I understand correctly that this happens on your G100 camera?
Please note that when using the camera in AQARA Home and in Apple Home (HSV), the resolution on the G100 will be a maximum of 1080p, and on the G410 -1200p
No not just the G100.
It happens on all the cameras I have (G5 pro, G4, G3, G2h pro and G100)
When the network connection of either the phone or the camera is unstable, the resolution may change frequently. This is designed to ensure that the video stream can continue playing smoothly.
That makes sense however using the word “Fluent” is still open for discussion
So I was right💪 Thanks .
I assume that in this case everything works fine and the only „issue“ is the translation with the word „fluent“
