Camera streams blocked by “number of simultaneous viewers reached” after recent update

Hi everyone,

After the most recent Aqara app update, I’ve started getting the message “number of simultaneous viewers reached. Please close at least one” whenever I try to view my Aqara cameras. This wasn’t happening before the update.

It also affects my Aqara S1 Plus panel — I have an automation where the panel should display the live camera feed when motion is detected, but instead it shows the same error message. This makes the automation almost useless, since the stream won’t open if the camera is already being viewed on another device.

This issue only started appearing after the latest app/firmware changes, so I suspect Aqara has added new restrictions on simultaneous live streams. Could someone from Aqara confirm:
• Is this new viewer limitation intentional or a bug?
• How many simultaneous viewers are allowed now?
• Will there be an option to configure or disable this restriction?

It used to work perfectly before, so I’m hoping this can either be rolled back or at least explained.

Thanks in advance!

After more testing, I realized this issue seems to be specific to my Aqara G410 doorbell camera. My other Aqara cameras don’t throw the “number of simultaneous viewers reached” error as often, but the G410 almost always does.

It looks like the latest update might have introduced this limitation (or a bug) specifically for the G410. Before the update, I could view the stream on my phone and also trigger it on my S1 Plus panel without any problem.

Anyone else facing this on the G410 after updating?
