Can I control a TV using an aqara hub?

I’m currently using a broadlink device to control my TV. I understand that the M2 and M3 hubs both can issue RF commands. Is there any way to use them, even if it’s just to power down the TV before the smart switch cuts the power at the end of the day?

Hi, yes, of course. Both the M3 and M3 Hubs, as well as the Aqara Camera Hub G3, are devices with built-in 360° infrared. Therefore, simply add your TV to one of these to control it or even create scenes and automations for your convenience.

Is it a smart tv or another smart player connected via HDMI, is it android based? Do you currently have any home automation being used as a backbone like Home Assistant? If so you could go that route to control the TV.

Thanks. Yes, it’s a smart TV. I’m l ooking to set up Home Assistant, so investigating the best devices to use.

However, I’m also trying to help my mother in law, who is in a care home where the TV is not smart but she does have access to an Alexa device.
