I’ve read many places this can be done.
I have an M100 hub with 2 U50 locks bound. All firmware up to date and remote unlock enabled. When I open The hub and select accessories and the lock and then try to add users it always ask to connect to Bluetooth? I thought the whole point here was to be able to add and delete users remotely. I bought 3 of these and now I’m 500 bucks in the hole, for a remote lock that’s not living up to it’s name, please help. I read this forum many times and others have stated that you can remotely add users this is why I bought the lock but I can’t figure it out or the function doesn’t work?

Can you show me posts where you’ve seen what you are trying to do described so I can reference it?
There’s a difference between remote lock/unlock and remote administration. Enrolling a new user requires a local connection because it has to establish pins, fingerprints, nfcs (depending on the lock). It’s the same with the U100 and U400.
Do you have a use-case that requires you to create and remove users remotely (like rentals)? If you use the locks in HomeKit you can let Apple Home take over user management and then you can create new guest users and pins remotely as needed.

There are a few others out there that say " yes it’s possible to add users remotely, but ensure you enable remote unlock. This doesn’t work. It even says right in the app allowing remote unlock will allow you to set periodic pins, this also does nothing. I don’t use apple products. Google home only allows unlocking the lock, nothing else.
It’s pretty annoying that this product states you can remotely manage the users and you can’t. I spent a lot of money and effort to set these up for my rental and now they are worthless. I need to be able to delete user codes after checkout.
Any other suggestions?

…update, I was trying to do this from a Mexican phone hotspotted… didn’t work.
I tried on my wife’s phone hotspot and i was able to set periodic/scheduled and one time use passcodes. So yes it does work, thankfully. Aqara really needs to just let users be added and deleted remotely to simplify things, but I’m sure there is a reason why they don’t. Now if I could only getter battery life to improve… that’s for another thread.

That response came from the bot and I don’t think it’s very accurate.
Glad you got something working - yes, setting passcodes should be doable, but not creating users.
In my tests I confirmed the same as you - One Time Passcodes and Scheduled Users (which are also only PINs) work fine.
In the context of the U50, this is probably a holdover in the software from U100 since U50 does not support fingerprints.
