Hello.
I moved my G4 to a new apartment (just FYI, previously I only tested it in my old apt and it seemed to work fine).
I connected it. I started to push the chime’s button in order to reset it, then it prompted me to catch the QR code, I did it. It went on everything looked fine. At the end I received an error message and no matter how long I retried it didn’t go anywhere.
On my Apple Home Screen, the camera was active. I had the image. On the Awara app NOTHING at all, it still says “accessory offline”.
At the door, when I push the button outside, the chimes sounds and so it looks connected. I don’t have any kind of response on the app, no image, no chance of interaction. Nothing at all.
What can I do?

Hi, @Expert!
Anyone who has a G4, please help.

Do you have a screenshot of the error message you received?
Here’s what I would try:
- Remove the G4 completely from both Apple Home and the Aqara app - this de-registers the device in case there are issues with the Aqara app/account.
- Power cycle both the doorbell and the chime (unplug the chime for about 30 seconds).
- Press and hold the reset button on the chime again until you hear the reset prompt.
- During setup, make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, since the G4 does not support 5GHz-only setup.
- Try pairing it first through the Aqara app before adding it to Apple Home.

Did you reset the G4 and bound it to the new network at the new home?
