I wanted to share my experience with configuring the CCU3 to control Hue lights via BRC2 switches. Initially, everything worked perfectly, but after switching from DSL to fiber optics, I encountered an issue where the lights wouldn’t turn on. The CCU3 configuration was still intact, and the Hue lights were controllable via the app, but the physical switches stopped responding.
After some troubleshooting, I realized the CCU3 had been unplugged during the network switch, causing an unscheduled shutdown. I checked the network settings, rebooted the CCU3, and even tried a soft reset, but the issue persisted. I considered the possibility of a hardware defect but ruled it out since the switches themselves seemed functional.
Eventually, I found a solution by reconfiguring the CCU3 to ensure all settings were correctly restored. It was a bit of a learning curve, but I’m glad everything is working again now. If anyone has similar issues, I’d recommend checking the network settings and ensuring all devices are properly reinitialized after any major network changes.
It’s amazing how much these systems can do when everything is set up correctly! I’m really grateful for the community support that helped me through this challenge. ![]()
