As the Fourth of July approaches, I wanted to share how I’ve used my smart home setup to celebrate this special occasion. This year, I decided to incorporate some patriotic touches using my M-1 smart home system. I’ve always been a fan of using technology to enhance everyday moments, and this holiday is no exception!
One of the fun projects I worked on was creating custom color schemes to reflect the American flag’s red, white, and blue. I utilized hex codes to set up these themes across my smart lights. It was surprisingly simple—just search for a color theme and include the phrase ‘hex code’ in your search. There are tons of resources online that make this easy. I ended up with five different color schemes that I could switch between throughout the day, depending on the mood I wanted to set.
Another thing I’ve been experimenting with is scheduling these color changes to coincide with patriotic music or even a virtual fireworks display. It’s amazing how a little automation can turn a regular evening into a festive celebration. I’ve also been using my smart speakers to play classic Fourth of July songs, which adds to the ambiance.
