Over the past few months, I’ve been busy setting up my smart home, and I must say, it’s been an incredible experience! One of my favorite additions has been the Wyze Cam OG. It’s been a reliable companion, especially with its motion detection and sound notifications. However, I recently noticed that the sound event notifications stopped working, even though motion events still trigger perfectly. I’ve tried resetting the camera and updating the firmware, but no luck so far. If anyone has encountered this issue or knows a solution, I’d be grateful for your insights!
Another exciting project I’m working on is integrating my doorbell system. I recently purchased a Shelly Plus Uni, and I’m trying to connect it to my old apartment doorbell. From what I understand, I need to bridge terminals 2 and 3 on the existing board to unlock the door when the Shelly is activated. I’m a bit unsure about the wiring setup, so any tips or diagrams would be incredibly helpful. I want to ensure everything is safe and works seamlessly!
I’m also curious about others’ smart home setups. Have you managed to integrate multiple devices from different brands smoothly? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any challenges you’ve overcome. Maybe we can all learn something new!
On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with RGB lights for festive occasions. It’s amazing how a simple light setup can transform the mood of a room. If anyone has creative ideas for using RGB lights in everyday settings, I’m all ears!
