Challenges and Solutions in Pairing Multiple Somify Rollers

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! One of the highlights for me has been setting up multiple Somify Rollers using the Somify app. However, I’ve encountered a bit of a hiccup along the way, and I’m hoping the community can shed some light on this.

So, here’s the situation: I’ve successfully paired six Rollers with my Homey using two different RTS 28 remotes. Everything was going smoothly until I tried to add a seventh Roller. When I opened the Somify app for pairing, I noticed that there wasn’t a programming button available. This left me puzzled—was there a limit to the number of Rollers I could pair? Or was it something to do with using two different remotes?

I decided to do a bit of research and stumbled upon others who had faced similar issues. It seems that while Somify doesn’t officially state a limit on the number of devices you can pair, practical experience suggests that using multiple remotes might complicate the process. I also read about some workarounds, like resetting the devices or ensuring that the remotes are fully charged before attempting to pair them again.

Another thing I noticed was that some users mentioned issues with the app’s interface when dealing with a large number of devices. It made me wonder if there’s a more streamlined way to manage multiple Rollers, especially when using different remotes. Perhaps Somify could introduce a feature that simplifies the pairing process for multiple devices or provides clearer feedback within the app.

On a positive note, the Rollers themselves have been fantastic. They integrate seamlessly with my existing smart home setup, and the ability to control them via the Homey app has added a whole new level of convenience to my daily routine. It’s just a matter of getting past this initial hurdle with the pairing process.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has successfully paired a large number of Somify Rollers, especially if they used multiple remotes. Did you encounter similar issues, and if so, how did you resolve them? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!

In the meantime, I’ll continue to experiment with different methods and keep the community updated on my progress. It’s experiences like these that make the smart home journey both challenging and rewarding, and I’m grateful to be part of such a supportive community.
