Recently, I tried adding a Telldus Magnetic Sensor Switch to my setup. It’s listed in the database, but I couldn’t seem to get it added properly. The logs showed some errors, and I was a bit puzzled. After some research, I realized that sometimes the device database might not have all the latest firmware versions, so ensuring everything is up-to-date was key.
Another interesting issue came up when I was experimenting with a Fibaro Wall Plug. I paired it successfully, but after excluding it and trying to re-add it, the app didn’t show anything. The hub logs indicated it had rejoined, but no luck in the UI. I tried resetting the hub, reinstalling the app, and even using a custom DTH, but nothing worked. It made me wonder if there’s a limit to how many times a device can be re-added.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has faced similar challenges or has any tips to resolve these issues. Maybe there’s a workaround or a specific setting I’m missing.
On a positive note, I’ve managed to integrate several devices now, and it’s amazing how seamless the system works once everything is set up. The ability to control lights, plugs, and sensors all from one interface is truly transformative.
