However, they lack the Zigbee functionality, which means they can’t control devices like fans directly.
I also considered the cost factor. While the Tuya scene switch might be more expensive upfront due to the need for a lightswitch cover, it could offset installation costs, especially if you’re doing it yourself. The Aqara switches, though, might be more cost-effective in the long run, especially if you’re already invested in a Zigbee ecosystem.
After weighing all these factors, I decided to go with the Aqara switches, primarily because of their ability to control colored smart bulbs. This feature was a deal-breaker for me, as I wanted a seamless integration with my existing smart home setup. Plus, the Zigbee functionality ensures that I can expand my system in the future without any compatibility issues.
