After some research and experimentation, I’ve managed to create a seamless setup that brightens my home during the festive season. For those of you who are also Govee fans, here’s a quick rundown of my setup: - I’ve installed the Govee Light Strip in my living room, wrapped around the mantel and tree. - Using the Govee app, I programmed preset color schemes that match the holiday theme—think warm whites, festive reds, and golden yellows. - To automate the lights, I created a simple rule in Home Assistant that turns them on at sunset and cycles through the preset modes throughout the evening. The best part? I can control everything from my phone or even through voice commands with Alexa. It’s been a joy to come home each evening to a beautifully lit house without lifting a finger.
