Christmas Lights and Smart Home Automation
The holiday season is officially here, and I couldn’t be more excited to share how I’ve transformed my home into a festive wonderland using smart home technology! 
Christmas Lights Setup
This year, I decided to go all out with my Christmas lights. I’ve been using Govee RGBW bulb string lights, and honestly, they’ve been a game-changer! 
They’re easy to install, have a clean design, and the color combinations are endless. I’ve set them up around my patio and even indoors to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The best part? I can control them all from my phone or even through voice commands with Alexa! 
Smart Home Automation
I’ve also integrated my Christmas lights with my smart home system. Using OpenHAB, I’ve created custom scenes that automatically turn on the lights when it gets dark or when I press a specific button on my Shelly Plus 1 Mini. 
It’s been so much fun experimenting with different automation rules, like having the lights flash when someone rings the doorbell or dimming them during movie nights. 
Energy Efficiency
I’m also conscious about energy consumption, so I’ve paired my lights with smart plugs to ensure they’re only on when needed. It’s amazing how much you can save by automating your lighting! 
DIY Projects
