Hey everyone, I just discovered the Chromecast beta today and installed it on my setup. The installation went smoothly, and I was able to detect all my devices without any issues. However, I’m a bit stuck on how to add controls for my Chromecast Audio devices to the dashboard. I’ve managed to switch my speakers to the Chromecast devices, but I’m missing something obvious when it comes to adding buttons or controls for play, pause, or stop functions.
I was expecting something similar to how I set up my weather station last week, where I could go into the attributes and select from a list of available commands. But with Chromecast, there doesn’t seem to be a “command” option with a list of actions. I’ve checked the online documentation, but it wasn’t very helpful in this case.
All of my other devices, like my bulbs, outlets, pico remotes, and Echoes, are working perfectly fine, and I haven’t had any issues setting those up. It’s just this Chromecast control setup that’s got me a bit puzzled.
If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to add these controls to the dashboard, I’d really appreciate the help! I’m sure it’s something simple that I’m just missing. Thanks in advance for your support!
