I know that many people use these sensors together in order to gain speedy action (motion) and consistent light (presence).
I turn my lights on when either motion (P1) or presence (FP300) is activated. Then, I turn off my lights when presence is no longer detected.
This means that if someone activates the motion sensor but not the presence sensor, the lights don’t shutoff. What is the smart way to handle this? I do try to avoid spots where the sensors don’t overlap but there’s always a spot or two where just the motion sensor is “seeing”.
I researched this a bit and see that I could use a “variable” switch or an HA helper switch. But I don’t see how this would help.

Make a virtual device in the Aqara app involving both devices would be my best recommendation.

Hi, theoretically this is done by automation 2.0. It works like clockwork for me. Can you show a screenshot of your automation?
Oh, that’s cool. I was doing the automation in Apple Home. But you’re saying that I can do the automation in Aqara Home and automation 2.0 handles this automatically?
