Hey everyone, I’m thrilled to share my recent project—completing my cloud ceiling! It’s been a labor of love, and I want to walk you through my journey in case you’re considering something similar. ![]()

First, I started by researching different materials and techniques. I decided on using LED strips for their versatility and brightness. I wanted a more organic look, so I didn’t cover the entire ceiling. Instead, I focused on creating a 3D effect by extending some strips down the walls. This gave it a much more dynamic and immersive feel! ![]()
One of the challenges I faced was ensuring the LEDs were evenly spaced and not too harsh. I found that using a combination of warm and cool tones really balanced things out. I also added some dimmer switches to control the intensity, which has been a lifesaver for different moods. ![]()

Here are a few tips I picked up along the way:
- Plan your layout carefully: Sketching out where each strip would go saved me a lot of time and frustration.
- Use adhesive strips: They’re easy to apply and reposition if needed.
- Test sections before full installation: This helps catch any issues early on.
I’m so happy with how it turned out! It’s become the centerpiece of my living room, and it really sets the tone for the space. If you’re thinking about a similar project, I highly recommend starting small and gradually building up. It’s incredibly rewarding to see your vision come to life! ![]()
