Configuring Separate Alarm Panels for Multiple Properties

Hi everyone! I’ve been exploring how to set up an alarm system for my two properties using Home Assistant. I’ve got both houses connected to the same system, but I want each to have its own alarm panel for better control. I’ve read through the documentation and some community posts, but I’m still a bit unsure about the best approach.

First, I’ve considered using different areas in Home Assistant to separate the two houses. This way, each alarm panel can be tied to its respective area. I’ve also looked into setting up individual sensor groups for each property to ensure that notifications and automation rules are specific to each location.

One challenge I’ve encountered is ensuring that the alarm states (like armed away or home) don’t interfere between the two houses. I’m thinking of using unique entity IDs for each alarm panel to avoid any overlap. I’ve also explored using custom Lovelace cards to create a clean and organized interface for managing both alarm systems.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with multi-property alarm setups. How did you handle the configuration? Did you face any unexpected issues, and how did you resolve them? I’m particularly interested in best practices for keeping the system organized and user-friendly.

Thanks in advance for your insights and suggestions! I’m excited to get this working and would be happy to share my setup once it’s up and running.
